Major Vineet Kumar
Vineet Kumar is a CyberPeace and Cybersecurity pioneer globally. A Social Entrepreneur and activist, 3-time TEDx Speaker, Chevening Scholar, Forbes Under 30 Asia Finalist and a recipient of 8 international & 17 national awards, Vineet Kumar is the Founder & CEO of Cyber Peace Foundation (CPF) – World’s first and largest NGO and think-tank in Cybersecurity which has impacted 200 Million netizens in 112 countries. With offices in 3 countries, Vineet is a thought leader and cyber expert who has delivered keynotes at global forums like Global CyberSecurity Forum Riyadh, ISACA Dubai, International Cyber Security and also been featured by BBC, Forbes, New York Times, Stanford Law, Quartz in the last 20 years. Most recently, Vineet was nominated by the World Economic Forum for the very prestigious “Social Entrepreneur of the Year ‘21” award (Among the few Indians and handful chosen globally).
Despite being born in a tier 3 city – Ranchi at a time when computers hadn’t become a household name, Vineet hustled through to become an ethical hacker at age 10 after being attacked by a black hat. It became his life’s mission to help the world attain ‘Cyber Peace’.
At age 14, he founded the first-of-its-kind – National Anti-Hacking Group (NAG) and the Global Ethical Hackers Association which had 10,000+ members to protect the cyber world. With an aim to fund his non-profit, at the age of 14 he founded ‘Security Brigade’, one of the fastest growing IT companies in Asia of that time. Bootstrapped and making 8 figure revenue with enterprise clients.
At 22, Vineet exited Security Bridage and was appointed CTO for Jharkhand Police (Started a research centre for cybersecurity; 1st in India & 9th in the World). After a 2 years stint, Vineet wanted to expand the scale of impact and hence rebranded NAG to Cyber Peace Foundation (World’s first NGO for Cybersecurity).
After Chevening (Cranfield and Cambridge – UK alum) today, Vineet has created a new benchmark for CPF and is termed as one of the World’s best ethical hackers and entrepreneurs with an impact across 112 countries, having touched 200M digital lives! He is a board adviser & member of expert groups across governments, companies and UN agencies.
True to the ethos of Tech Champions of India, Vineet is a true embodiment of a pioneer who started at 10 and hustled his way through tech and drove India’s name globally for the last 22 years.
