Cyber world is a boundaryless world and it gives enormous anonymity advantage to twisted minds & characters. Such characters look for their victims in the cyber domain without any fear of getting caught. Children are very easy targets for such characters. Cases of child abuse by adults through social networking site, chat groups, pornographic website etc have risen exponentially across India in the last decade. In most of the cases it has been found that children are not well informed on how to handle internet services and fall in trap of cyber culprits. Also, in a large number of cases it has been reported that children have also started using the cyber world as a medium to indulge in practices which are not healthy for their development (like bullying, teasing). A growing “to fit in” culture has also been observed building among children, which is leading to psychological & physical stress.
